The harder question is: Where will you fit?
I've spent more than 35 years connecting people. I'm deeply involved in two communities here, and Jorge and I have friends in all the other groups.
I founded Love in San Miguel as my community service to create experiences where people can connect deeply and find their people.
Today it's a bilingual, bicultural community built around bringing people together in real life through multiple events: free gatherings, private dinners and shared experiences.
Some are singles looking for romance. Some are couples looking for friends.
Everyone leaves feeling they belong.
My faith community has always been the first stop when I come to a new community.
I'm deeply involved with both Chabad of San Miguel and Shalom San Miguel. At my home, I host Shabbat dinners and Jewish gatherings, run a local WhatsApp Jewish Friends in SMA community, and would love to introduce you to the Jewish community here.
Whether you're observant, cultural, returning to Judaism, or simply looking for a Jewish table, there's room for you.
Maybe neither of those is yours.

I don't run those communities.
But I know people in them.
That's often all you need when you're new somewhere: not another list of Facebook groups, but one person saying, “You should meet her.”
That's what I do. And I make the introduction.
